Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2022

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During this month, people across the country participate in activities and events to honor victims, celebrate survivors and raise awareness as we work towards the goal of ending intimate partner violence.

Middletown Fire Department Purple Boot Drives

The Middletown Fire Department is hosting Purple Boot Drives to raise money for victims of intimate partner violence in Middlesex County and their families in early October. Check back soon for more information.

The Walk to End the Silence is back in person this year!

The Walk to End the Silence recognizes and honors our neighbors who have been directly impacted by domestic or intimate partner violence and raises awareness of the impact these crimes have on our entire community.

Join us on October 8 at 9AM in Middletown! The approximately 1 mile walk begins and ends at 19 Grand St.

This year’s family-friendly event includes:

  • Zumba
  • Face painting
  • Performances
  • Guest speakers and more

How Your Registration Helps

All money raised from this year’s Walk will help support victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and their families. Specifically, we hope to install a new privacy fence around our shelter for the safety and privacy of those staying with us.
